"It's a lot easier being a drug dealer than an AAU coach" - this guy. Tell me something I don't know. I mean, don't think but have never tried either.
Per the Detroit News, the Lions and James Ihedigbo have agreed to a two year deal. Ihedigbo to the Lions had previously been posted on this board, but that post was premature. After the Lions hosted Ihedigbo at the beginning of the FA period, other teams expressed interest and the deal was uncertain until Ihedigbo's pronouncement that a deal has been struck.
A couple of quick observations. First, a board member previously pointed out his last name is pronounced "He Dig Bo" so that may be reason enough for this board to support this pickup. Second, the Lions really needed a safety with recent losses at the position, so this looks like a good move.
Next on my wish list? Re-sign Shaun Hill (currently the Rams are competing for his services). The Lions currently lack much cap space, so I'm not expecting a whole lot more FA action until some veteran contracts are restructured - Suh's in particular.
Lions take on the Giants at home today. Still need a Bears and probably a Packers loss today, so feel free to discuss the Packers game in here too (they're playing the Steelers in GB).
My hopes are very low. Go Lions though.
I've got two finals tomorrow, so what better way to procrastinate than to watch my Lions choke away the division lead!
This one is going to be messy. Huge blizzard taking place, probably favors the team who makes fewer mistakes (ie: not the Lions).
Didn't see this on here, but Lions Center Raiola has been accused of verbally harassing members of the UW marching band prior to the beginning of the game. I don't know much about him and I didn't see the game, did anyone hear anything about this?
The Lions are investigating this.
Source . Young has been asked not to show up to the Lion's practices this week due to allegedly punching Louis Delmas last week. I hope Broyles is ready if this sort of thing isn't an isolated incident.
