Mount St. Mary's hired a private equity CEO to be their president. You'll never guess what happened next.
espn lacks knowledge
I havent seen this mentioned here yet...
It looks like ESPN has team recruiting rankings up.
Surprise Surprise they squeezed seven SEC teams into the top 15.
They put South Carolina in the top 15 even though Scout and rivals dont have SC in their top 25.
Has there ever been such a blatant conflict of interest for a supposed news agency?
They didnt have much credibility in the CFB recruiting rankings in the first place.
This isnt a huge discrepancy but enough for me to ignore them from now on as they seem to be clearly biased.
Adam Rittenberg continues the insane amount of unethical one-liners and headlines today with this beauty:
“Team chemistry is a question mark after current players spoke publicly about possible NCAA rule violations involving time limits, but the Wolverines need a united effort Saturday.”
(You can read the full story here: http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/3087/what-to-watch-in-the-big-t...)
Someone…anyone…tell me what’s wrong with that sentence?
NO current players spoke publicly about possible NCAA rule violations! Two current players spoke about an average day in the RR program in the context of a friendly discussion with NO knowledge it was being used to support an article on rule violations. In addition, the players were not asked to distinguish between required hours and voluntary hours in the description of their day.
How in the hell can ESPN continue to allow such simple facts to be overlooked? (Not to mention the booster headline that made me consider blocking ESPN from my firefox)
I sent Adam a respectful message asking him to be more clear in the future when doing his job.
You can contact Adam here: http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/mailbag/_/id/21423/21423
Follow this link http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/poll/index?pCat=46&sCat=485 and tell me how many errors you see on that page. ESPN truly is mildly disabled.
ESPN just hyped up the Pitt-Duke basketball game by saying the two teams have a combined 100 game win streak vs non-conference opponents (Pitt-64, Duke-36). Did we not just beat Duke in a non-conference game 8 days ago?
