"I love it that Ivy League coaches are coming to our camp and Big Ten coaches are coming to our camp. South Florida is coming. We've got about 70 schools that are coming to our camp."
Interesting article I stumbled upon while visiting thebiglead.com.
Apparently football/basketball players tend to have significantly lower SAT and GPAs than the average student body at various institutions. Of particular note is that UM had one of the highest SAT averages (997), while MSU had one of the lowest (917). Not that this should be a newsflash for anyone, but I found it particularly glaring how significant some of these gaps were, especially at schools where academic standards are, how do we say, somewhat lax.
So, I remember we all lamented how bad the offensive line was much earlier this year, but the offensive line actually appears to have gotten significantly better over the past few games (at least from what I could see). So I have two questions for everybody:
1) What is the ceiling for our current OL personnel for next year? Can they get much better? It's at least a good sign that they've improved over the year.
2) Since I don't follow recruiting terribly closely, are there any OL recruits that RR is working on? I know I remember seeing at least one on Rivals that was committed, but I'm in the dark as far as potential recruits.
