Take 5 minutes and watch 3 great former players help raise money for future scholarships and the LSA Emergency Aid Fund. Also get a chance to hear all of them talk candidly about Michigan. Miss you already, 16.
...and it blows up the social medias.
A photo taken by former
Giants[Ed-C: MICHIGAN] linebacker Dhani Jones made waves through twitter and was retweeted and posted by thousands of users. He was on a plane above Queens, NY as he was landing at LaGuardia airport when he took the photo from 10,000 feet. On instagram, he wrote "#stormcoming #nyc #isolated I've never seen a storm so concentrated. The power of mother nature!"
In January, I posted a Diary about the Appreciate + Reciprocate benefit dinner and silent auction featuring Coach Hoke, Coach Carr, Dhani Jones, and Mike Martin. The MGoBlog response was great, and I wanted to make sure that everyone has another chance to attend the event.
As a reminder, the dinner will be on March 28th, and be held in the Jack Roth Stadium Club. The event benefits the LSA Emergency Student Aid Fund which assists students in sudden and extreme financial need. To read more from the previous post, click HERE.
Tickets for the event will be on sale until this Thursday. Some limited tickets may be available after that date, but our group cannot guarantee them. “Regular Tickets” are $100 and Student Tickets are $50, with group rates available.
Visit umichappreciate.org for more information, to purchase tickets, or to make a donation to the cause. And thank you so much to the MGoBlog community for its support.
Thank you to Brian for allowing me to post this. I hope this interests the MGoBlog community.

This article won't shed any new light on him to people who frequent mgoblog, but it's always nice to see this kind of thing on former Wolverines.
"Answer This" is a movie shot in Ann Arbor in 2009, starring Ralph Williams. It's being picked up for regional distribution and has some premiere events this weekend around the state. It features scenes shot at the UM-WMU game in 2009, and was written and directed by an alum. (Full disclosure: I work for Celebration! Cinema, where tomorrow's premiere is hosted.)
There are a few upcoming premiere screenings worth mentioning:
- Tonight at Emagine in Royal Oak with Dhani Jones in attendance.
Friday 10/14 at Celebration! Cinema Grand Rapids North
Food, drinks, and trivia in the Wave Room at 6:30. An 8:00pm screening will be followed by a Q&A with the writer/director.
Saturday 10/15 also at Celebration! Grand Rapids North:
Watch "Funny or Die" clips before the movie, screen the movie, then a Q&A with Chris Farah and President of Funny Or Die Mike Farah.
- More cities like Traverse City and Ann Arbor are listed at the movie website.
Also, Dr. Spaceman is in it.
Did any of you attend the screening at the Michigan Theatre? Or, are you going in Grand Rapids tomorrow?
[Edit: Added Dhani Jones info.]
