"Jim's a tough guy and you can see his personality is all over this football team," Fitzgerald said.
Per the AP
The late Pat Tillman and Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard are among the 14 newly elected members of the College Football Hall of Fame.
The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame announced its latest class Thursday at a news conference at the Nasdaq Stock Exchange in Manhattan.
Tillman played linebacker for Arizona State from 1944-97 and gave up an NFL career to enlist in the Army in 2002. He killed while serving in Iraq in 2004. Howard was a wide receiver for Michigan and won the Heisman 1991.
The newly elected Hall of Fame coaches are Barry Alvarez and Gene Stallings.
The other players in the new Hall class include Dennis Byrd of North Carolina State; Ronnie Caveness of Arkansas; Ray Childress of Texas A&M; Randy Cross of UCLA; Sam Cunningham of USC; Mark Herrmann of Purdue; Clarkston Hines of Duke; Chet Moeller of Navy; Jerry Stovall of LSU; and Alfred Williams of Colorado.
Kind of a given that he would be inducted given the Heisman and all but... well... any extra reason to post this is great:
This is decently old news, but Adam Rittenberg just posted something about it today. The newest ballot for the College Fotball Hall of Fame has 19 Big Ten players on it. This includes three Michigan players: Jumbo Elliott, Robert Lytle, and Desmond Howard. Some other key inductees are Eddie George, Deion Sanders, and Tedy Bruschi. Looking at the list, it seems like Eddie George and Desmond have a good shot to make it this year. Not sure if this was posted before, but I couldn't find anything in the search. Thoughts on who makes it?

A quote from Angelique Chengelis (Via Twitter): "Can't get over how much UM QB Denard Robinson looks and smiles like Desmond Howard."
I think she may be on to something:
I believe we've done a look-alike thread before; if not, does anyone have any more good ones from the team?
Edit: Easy on the pic size, please.

Where width and height can be altered in two ways. One is to explicitly set the size in pixels. Use width="100px" height="100px" to resize the image to 100x100. Or, use width="50%" height="50%" to resize the image to 50% of original size.
Happy Independence Day Weekend!
The Class of 2010 for the College Hall of Fame got announced today.
Gino Torretta, Grant Wistrom, and Chuck Cecil, among others, were inducted.
Desmond Howard was up for induction, but was not selected.
Honestly, if an entity is going to have a Hall of Fame and put in Torretta before Howard, it better have a moment of introspection and decide whether it truly deserves to consider itself a "Hall of Fame." What's next? Inducting Eric Crouch and leaving Charles Woodson out? I guess I shouldn't put it past the voters.
