Hockey pet peeve: "when a teammate tips a puck in on you, which is exactly how my first collegiate goal against happened. Thanks, Copper."

NewLeadersOrg New LeadersCongrats @CatoJune for being named Head Football Coach at Anacostia HS! You'll love working at a New Leader-led school - Ian Roberts rocks!
Here's wishing him nothing but the best. Hopefully one day he'll be able to send a few kids to Ann Arbor!
Mattison is a beast. Why couldnt we get a D coordinator like him when RR was there? What was the problem? I mean how did we stoop to the level of GERG when guys like Mattison obviously would have come here? Want to see what opinions were out there.
Just got through on Bruce Feldman's CFB chat on ESPN.com with a question about a new DC for 2011.
His reply: "I'll throw out Manny Diaz from Miss. State. He's young and has done a super job in the SEC."
E-pinions on this?
Being from MD, I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised at the amount of talent that seems to be coming out of the State. I know it's no Texas or Florida by any stretch of the imagination, but it seems that pretty consistently over the past couple of years there has been at least one Elite (5*) player from MD; and a likelihood of this happening again with offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio.
It also seem that we are recruiting pretty consistently out of the Mid-Atlantic region(Maryland in particular) since RR has arrived.
Can anyone tell me, since I did not follow FB that much in High School, has MD always been a place which U of M has tapped into for talent, or this just recently? I know that several kids from DeMatha (my cousin plays there) were given offers last year for instance.
Is this an area where we are trying to develop some pipelines with, because I know right now the general thinking of the majority of kids is that if you are good enough, Penn State or OSU are the places to go? However, A lot of the schools that are producing these elite players (DeMatha, Good Counsel are the two consistent/main producers) are from very good private schools where education is actually quite good. I would think that this would give us an advantage.
What are your all thoughts?
Wink Martindale has been named the new DC for the Denver Broncos. Teams will dress in halloween costumes for games involving the Broncos. Opponents will now have the option of choosing door 1, 2, or 3 on first down. They will then be allowed to trade their result for one of the remaining doors. One will likely result in a 13 yard pass play for a first down, while the other has a high likelihood of having a billy-goat.
Larry Johnson has turned down Illinois' offer to be their DC.
