i find this extremely interesting
Brandon Minor
Favorite player that never lived up to expectations
After getting a little excited with the whole Derrick Green hoopla I decided to watch some old hype videos and remembered one of my favorite players that never quite lived up to my expectations…Brandon Minor. I’m sure some will remember some key fumbles. But, I recall being very excited about his bruising style and runs as a freshman backing up Hart(?). And, when his turn finally came I was really excited about the year(s) he was going to have. If memory serves me correct his junior and senior years were plagued by nagging injuries (and Rich Rod), but I still remember some big powerful runs and laying the wood to defenders. It’s a shame there are no highlight videos of him out there because he put his head down and had quite a few nice collisions. Who is your favorite Michigan player that never quite lived up to your expectations?
EDIT: More along of the lines of who you're disappointed with based on what you say in their early days at UM versus based on their recruiting hype.
Brandon Minor Arrested on Marijuana Charges

Sad. I always hoped this guy's career would be better since my high school and his were so close, but he never seemed able to stay healthy. Hopefully things work out for him.
EDIT: Mods, feel free to delete this thread, the whole thing has disintegrated into an (unforeseen) debate on marijuana laws. Sorry.
[MOD-PGB: Normally I enjoy a good debate but this one has been had before and we don't need another 50% saying pot should be legalized vs. 50% saying laws are laws and should be abided by. So I locked this thread but am leaving it up because it is pertinent news about a former beloved Wolverine. Good post, JClay.]
Brandon Minor released from Saints practice squad
Shaw Rage
Although Wendy's is awesome(#7 with no tomato and a mountain dew), I figured I would take up some board space and talk about some Michigan Football and how impressed I was with the way Shaw ran last week and how that bodes well for us in the future.
If I was more savvy with the interwebs I would link the play, but when Shaw took that swing pass for about 20yds and was horse collard down against UConn it reminded me of Minor Rage. I think that Shaw gleaned a lot from Brandon and it looks like he might be emulating Minor's style of running going forward. He still likes to dance a little(which I think is his original style), but he showed signs of straight murder against UConn.....and I love to see that.
I hope to see a great performance from Shaw today. He will be the player of the game IMO because of all the hype over Denard.
That being said I love me some V Smith. That guy is shifty and fun to watch. They both are going to have to rack up some yards for us to get a W. GO BLUE!
Minor at Bears rookie minicamp (video)
Nothing earth-shattering here. Minor gets his ankles taped, catches some footballs and talks for a few seconds about his dream of playing in the NFL.
Brandon Minor bears down
I know this is from the paper that shall not be named, but things are sounding good for our boy. He has the right attitude. As a Bears fan, I am pleased at his chances... Greg Mathews, not so much...
