a vitally important recap of all the dumb tweets sent during the Harbaugh coaching search
The deadline to reserve seat cushions for season ticket holders is this week. Does anybody have any opinions on renting vs buying? I was sold on renting until I saw that it was $49 a seat. Seems a little steep. The portable cushions they sell at MDen are only $17. I have zero experience with both options. Lame topic but I wouldn't mind saving $60 if it was worth it.
MGoBloggers -- Just FYSA, I received an update from Amazon referencing Jon Falk's new book, "Forty Years.."
The new expected delivery date is now Wednesday, 29 July!
This should help subside the offseason blues, albeit briefly. I'm really looking forward to his first-hand stories and will probably fly through this by Friday the 31st. Jon Falk is a living legend.
I know there was a thread the other day for the new season ticket holders, but I went back to it and there were some questions left unanswered. Hopefully there are some Big House vets that can answer some season ticket questions for some of us new season ticket holders.
I will get started with a few.
When do we get our seat assignments?
I know there are more than a few people that requested sections 21-25. What are the chances that those who made requests will get non endzone seats?
Do you get offered a few choices or do they just give you a seat or seats?
Also, I was looking at other schools season ticket sites, and I really like the virtual venue that other schools use. It seems like it makes the seat selection process easier.
I really like the virtual venue platform that other schools use. it seems like it makes the seat selection process alot easier. Do any of you think that michigan will use virtual venue or something similar in the near future?
Hi all, your friendly MGoEyeInTheSky here. People seem to enjoy these MGoDrone threads and it's a relatively slow afternoon here. I've been traveling a bit and anytime I go somewhere I usually bring my DJI Phantom Vision 2+ QuadRotor. Over the weekend I was in Madison for the hockey games. I made a pit-stop at Camp Randall for some aerial shots:

And don't forget the Kohl Center!
More like the 'Cold' Center, right?! Ha haaa..... Sorry.
Whilst in West-Lafayette for the basketball-game-that-we-don't-need-to-talk-about it was raining so I wanted to keep the flight very short. The result was a kind of crappy shot, but here it is:
Being that I am originally from near Toledo, when I was home for the holidays I went out to Bowling Green and Toledo as well:
Finally, THIS WAS NOT A DRONE SHOT BECAUSE I WOULD GET IN BIG TROUBLE IF IT WAS but:
My friend and I went flying in Green Bay during the Packers-Cowboys playoff game and the flight path for landings goes right next to the stadium:
Normally you're not allowed to be flying anywhere near a stadium during a game. But because the airport was so close and we were just an airplane that had to do airplane things, we had a good reason to be so close (the kind ATC guy explained it nicely to us).
And of course, here it is your moment of zen:
I'll hopefully be at Minnesota and Indiana next month so I'll be sure to get some shots of their stadiums as well.
So this is an objective post not related to anything on the actual field of play but more about the stadium itself and how I would like to see my ticket dollars spent in the future.
During the weather delay our beloved PA announcer was making regular updates to a completely empty stadium (some lolz) but the more serious problem is that under the cover of the canopy this could not be heard by anyone unless they were standing in the mouth of one of the entry portals...an undesirable position due to the heavy spray.
After wandering around for awhile waiting out a ride, hearing the noise of PA but not being able to comprehend any of it, my wife went into a family restroom and came back with a complete update (thinking this was radio guys piped in to the restrooms)
However, I feel like its a serious problem that needs to be addressed in the facility planning for the future. The crowd needs information and direction, and I for one, will do whatever benevolent Mr. Grapentine recommends but I'd like to be able to hear it also. What I'd like to see is a system to be able to switch gears (selector switch if you will) to broadcast Public Address under the covered areas of the stadium while under weather delay. We are bound to have more weather delays just by probability in the future and this would be really helpful as a fan attending the game. Note for clarity that I'm not asking for PA to be broadcast underneath for any other circumstances.
