OT: Which beer to brew for next season?
I have recently starting making my own beer, and the first batch, an American Stout, went very well. I was thinking that I should brew some up for next season, and wanted to get the MGoCommunity's opinion on what brew to make. Something that speaks of renewal, youth, despair? Your comments appreciated.
OT -- Best Beers in Michigan
As I'm celebrating a successful signing day with a cold brew, I was curious as to the favorite microbrews of the MGoBoard. Having gone to college in Grand Rapids, I'm partial to the West Michigan microbreweries such as Bells, Founders, New Holland, and Arcadia. What are your favorite beers?
My top 3:
1. Bells Oberon
2. Founders Centennial IPA
3. Bells Winter White
OT: Homebrew
so i was curious how many mgobloggers homebrew? i'm trying to decide what to do for my next batch. make something to keg and drink in the next month or so, or plan ahead and brew and bottle a summer beer and let it sit for a few months.
OT: Poll... Holidaytime Brews
I'm throwing a Christmas party next weekend and most of the people enjoy sampling good beers. As one who always enjoys that too, I was wondering if people had any suggestions for good holiday brews or unique seasonal beers that might be something different than, say Sam Adams Winter Lager or whatever...
Friday Night Shut-ins The Sequel: What are you drinking?
MGoBoozehounds, it's been seven weeks since last we shared beer recommendations, cocktail recipes and bonhomie. Inspired by DTs and today's discussion of hot buttered apple cider with rum, I ask you again: what are you drinking, and is it nice?
Currently, I'm on a Molson Golden in a 12oz bottle, augmented by a wee dram of Caol Ila 12-year.
Kinda OT: favorite gameday beer?
Mines probably coors or redstripe
