"You know how Kyle Flood still has a job? Yeah, all Jourdan."
A couple weeks ago, I put together a google map with all of the Michigan bars I'm aware of (and also everything from the spreadsheet that bouje has been maintaining.) The map is here.
Hopefully this will prevent the "where's the Michigan bar in Pittsburgh/Fresno/Topeka/wherever" threads that pop up every week, but if your favorite gameday hangout isn't on here, put it in the thread and let me know. I'll do my best to keep the map up to date.
I got home a little bit ago, grabbed three Octoberfests, and poured them in my giant stein. Fuck it! I'm staring early. I also threw Denard '14 in the 360 and continued my dynasty. Let's go.
EDIT: I originally posted this as a diary. I'm sorry. Thank you, acnumber1.
A big thanks to everyone who attended MGoBlog Football Eve last night at Ashley's. I was really grateful to meet each of you and would love to do it again next year.
We may need to find a bigger venue as the 50+ people definitely exceeded the fire marshal limit for Ashley's basement.
11 hours until kickoff! GO BLUE!
I just tasted the test bottle of my latest home brew, and it has been a stunning success, my best to date, I think.
This beer is a Kolsch Style, but it's an ale, not a lager (because I don't have lagering equipment yet). Golden, mostly crystal with a slight haze, a HINT of cool sweetness, I'm very pleased. I th8ink I've settled on a name and label for this batch (50 bottles).
Your opinions on the name and label, please.
(Note this would print on a yellow label, so any hints of white would be yellow).
If you like craft beer AND variety, then you will have a busy summer if you live in the Ann Arbor area. Here is each one:
Salt Springs Brewery is opening in a former church building in Saline
Pointless Brewery & Theater After the wife gets a devastating lung cancer diagnosis, an Ann Arbor couple is opening a brewery/theater (cool idea. Sorry: Freep link)
Glasshouse Brewery will be opening on the west side of Ann Arbor off Liberty near Wagner road
Ypsi Ale House is set to open in downtown Ypsilanti sometime this summer
Craft beer enthusiasts, we have our work cut out for us.
EDIT: Thanks to BJNavarre for pointing out that there is (at least) a 5th one opening, also in Saline: Stony Lake Brewing
