"I love it that Ivy League coaches are coming to our camp and Big Ten coaches are coming to our camp. South Florida is coming. We've got about 70 schools that are coming to our camp."
From Rivals, info in headline. Shaw is Rivals #3 corner in 2010 and a top-50 player. So, that's nice, but why now? Did we not think he was that good before? Or, are the coaches worried about pulling two of Christian, Mathis and Knight (and maybe Grimes, but I dunno)?
ESPN has reviewed and ranked DJ Williamson (78) and Cornelius Jones (77). I believe they were the only two commits yet to be reviewed by them.
The 78 ranking ties DJ as the 6th highest rated player in the class according to ESPN.
The seem to be fairly high on both guys.
Per ESPN.com, it looks like Kyle Prater cut us from his final list when he trimmed to 6.
Also, Jeff Luc said he is looking at 4 southern schools and maybe a few others. Doesn't sound good
He lets it be known U of M is his only official visit scheduled so far:
First posted at UMHoops.com, I found it on my own on Youtube, but I believe in giving credit where its due!
To go along with Tom's interview of Austin White, here is today's Free Press article on our running back situation in general:
"White, Jackson, Jones and Clements could each project at the slot receiver position for Michigan as well, but Gainer is a true running back prospect and ranked as the No. 12 player at the position nationally by Rivals.com. Michigan has made a big jump on his list in the last few months and now joins Florida State atop his list. He plans to take an official visit to Michigan this fall and decide soon after where he will attend school. "
