[OT] Urban Meyer to sign contract extension for an additional 5 years (2022)
Exactly, as the title says... On his way out of the recruiting presser to announce the committment of 5* OT Nicholas Petit-Frere and 4* OLB Javontae Jean-Baptiste, Urban confirmed rumors that he has been approached with and plans to sign a 5-year contract extension until 2022.
Urban Meyer says Ohio State has extended an offer to him for a contract extension that he expects to sign soon.

[OT] Ryan Day (co-OC/QB) declines Titans' OC position to stay at Ohio State
Per Adam Schefter who originally broke the news a couple days ago:
Ohio St. co-offensive coordinator Ryan Day is expected to remain in Columbus and not become the Tennessee Titans’ offensive coordinator, per source. Titans’ OC search continues.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) January 23, 2018
Ryan Day will also be officially promoted from co-OC to OC alongside current OC Kevin Wilson:
Day's promotion comes one day after ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Day turned down an opportunity to become the Tennessee Titans' offensive coordinator. Meyer previously confirmed that Day also turned down a potential SEC head coaching opportunity to stay at Ohio State, while it was also rumored that Chip Kelly would try to hire Day as his offensive coordinator at UCLA.
OT: [247Sports] RUMOR: Washington State DC Alex Grinch will leave to be Ohio State's 10th assistant coach
Grinch has been the defensive coordinator under Mike Leach for the last three seasons. While there, he has made a large impact on the program, turning around the defense, and having them improve from 103rd nationally to 28th in yards per play allowed, and from 117th to 47th in scoring.
Sources tell Bucknuts that multiple coaches have targeted Grinch for their staff, including Willie Taggart at Florida State, Chad Morris at Arkansas, and Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M, at a minimum. Grinch, though, will return home, as he is originally from Columbus suburb Grove City, and played for Mount Union during his college career. He also overlapped for some time with Ohio State co-offensive coordinator and QB coach Ryan Day, while the two were at New Hampshire.
Alex Grinch will be most likely be taking the co-DC position that has been vacant since former DC Luke Fickell went to Cincinnati. Not sure why Grinch would decide to take essentially a demotion from a DC that gets full credit for a defense under Mike Leach to a co-DC that has to split credit with current DC Greg Schiano.
WSU Defensive Coordinator Alex Grinch will speak to the media during Bowl week in regards to his future status with the team, but all signs point to Columbus and that 10th assistant job with Ohio State. https://t.co/CAuJb1U6C8

Are there any rumors on who Harbaugh is targeting for Michigan's 10th assistant coach? I have heard some chatter about Harbaugh looking at Dan Enos, former Arkansas OC, CMU HC, and MSU RB/QB coach.
The Game Hype Video - "Fight"
Hey guys. Decided to create a short hype video for The Game. Enjoy!
Ticketwatch: The Game
Help! There hasn't been a TicketWatch in a month, and I don't want to make a decision by myself!
I'm planning to get tickets for myself and my daughter for the Game, and I feel like I should pull the trigger now.
(1) It's safe to assume OSU demolishes Illinois this weekend. If I wait on the assumption that UM loses to Wisky and tickets continue to fall, that feels like betting against my team.
(2) On the other hand, it feels like prices have been dropping steadily, even as Michigan put up credible performances against some bad teams.
We've got plane tickets and hotel rooms, so we're committed. Any words of wisdom from people with more experience would be greatly appreciated.
[OT] Rival Watch: OSU's true freshman RB JK Dobbins named "co-starter" with RsSo. Mike Weber
Ohio State released thier depth chart for the Oklahoma game this week, and JK Dobbins was listed as a "co-starter" alongside Mike Weber. This is following Urban's announcement that Mike Weber is cleared to return this week from a strained hamstring during fall camp.
An interesting developing for a team with a returning/incumbent 1096 yard (6.0 ypc) rusher, but not surprising given Dobbins's performance in his first career start (205 total yards; 6.24 ypc). Good thing Don Brown and co. will have plenty of film on both running backs by November 25th.
