Charity Bowl/Channel 6 (Fullcast) Social May 25
Our friends are coming to town to thank the money cannon for doing the thing it do.
We're trying to get a number for how many want to come to the event at the library (6-7:30), and/or join us for drinks at Venue afterwards, so if you're a-comin', a-RSVP here.
This message will 24-hour sticky.
hope to make my case to holly anderson for a twitter unblocking...she blocked me years ago, for some long-forgotten reason, although if y'all are familiar with my work you know it was probably well-earned for unnecessary smartassery.
I believe the going rate for an unblocking is still $500.
yep, and i'm bringing my receipts ;-)
I'm bummed that I'm going to be up north for this. Maybe next time...
I'm bummed I'm no where near Ann Arbor as I'd love to see the folks from the Shutdown Fullcast (the internet's only college football podcast) in person.
I missed the final results for the charity bowl. I get the sense that it was a rout. Can someone remind me whether it was more like 30-24, 45-23, or 42-27?
more like 49-0.
or something like $278,000 to $59,000. We smoked all comers.
Pretty sure we hung 100 on 'em.
dangit, that was the one. nicely done.
Not only did we, as usual, outraise every other team by a huge amount, we outraised every other conference.
I attended their last appearence in the basement of the Library 2 or 3 years ago, it was a hoot. don't know how they'll manage the crowd without tickets, though.*
- I could be way off when this happened, in hindsight, no one was wearing masks, so it was pre-covid, maybe? call it 5 years ago, then...
No tickets last time and it seemed that it was just “full”. Ace was there, so I agree with 4 or 5 yrs ago.
your post from 2019
What's with the intro in the letter, "hey sluts"?
That's just a formal and respectful introduction from Holly.
This is what many businesses use now rather than the generic "Dear Customer" or "Sir / Madam".
It took me awhile to figure out that this is Spencer Hall's new gig. I hope he and Brian bro out and drink lots fo beer when he comes to town.
Is the audio or video of this (past) event available online somewhere for consumption? This feels like a Venn Diagram/concentric circle of my interests.
